Now that it's getting warm outside and the sun is shining, Olivia has to start protecting herself from the hot sun with that fair skin. She doesn't mind the sunscreen, but she hates her sun hat. By the time we're outside she forgets that she has it on, but she throws a fit on the way.
Olivia loves scooting around everywhere. She still isn't really crawling, but she's moving around on her stomach and on her butt. She also has started pulling up to her knees, and uses it to grab things that were just out of her reach before.
Olivia loves her Grandma Christa, but she is also very interested in grabbing brother Henry.
Olivia has started giving kisses. She closes her eyes, opens her mouth and lean forward. Sometimes if she's feeling spunky, when asked to "give kisses" she blows a raspberry at the kiss recipient.
During a family gathering with Bob's side of the family, Olivia hangs with her Uncle Scott and her cousin Logan.
Olivia is feeding her other cousin, Ira the dog (Aunt Heather's puppy).
Lots of dirty laundry to clean!
On Mother's Day, Bob offered to take care of Olivia. Cassandra went looking for them, and found them cuddled up and asleep in bed! How cute looking are they?
For Mother's Day, we all went up to Snowbasin for a Mother's Day brunch buffet, also known as Meat Day. Olivia enjoyed the juice they sent her, she couldn't be bothered to put down her sippy cup to smile for the camera.
Olivia and Papa |
Olivia's favorite part of the day was when Nana shared her cupcake with Olivia. She had never eaten anything so delicious before!
The Meat Day participants. We missed Aunt Didi, but we ate meat for her!
Olivia and her friend Cait were born on the same day and enjoyed playing together. For some reason, Olivia kept trying to sit on Cait's lap.
Olivia still loves eating, though sometimes she'd rather smoosh her chicken and yams around then eat them. She is also feeding herself baby "puff" cereal.
She still loves her jumper, and gets very into jumping in it. Her favorite toys right now are books she'll sit on her mom's lap for nearly an hour sometimes as they read books. She likes reading them herself as well. She has a set of musical instruments she loves to make noises with, and she likes to 'feed' things to you. She'll hold out her binkie or a toy and she wants you to pretend to eat it. It's adorable, and she thinks it's really funny.
