We had great plans for 2012, but the whole family cycled through a terrible flu that left us out of commission for a couple of weeks. So we didn't blog because we didn't take pictures because frankly, we don't want to remember most of January 2012. But we're all feeling better now, and here are a few things that we DO want to remember!
When sick, Olivia likes to lay down on a pillow with a 'Blah' (what she calls any one of her many blankies), and reads books.
Olivia loves the snow. It's too bad we've seen so little of it this year, because she thinks it's the best. Here she is giggling at the dog chasing snowballs after doing a bit of sledding. The cold doesn't bother her at all.
She is still obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba and her trampoline. One night, she figured out a fun way to enjoy them both simultaneously. Henry is as amused as we were.
Sleeping with Brobee. She loves him!
Visiting Grandpa (Papa) and endorsing his line of lip balm - jiggy sticks.
Olivia's developing her personality more and more everyday. She loves bossing around 'Dah' (dogs), 'Henny' (Henry), Mama, Dada, and anyone else that will listen.
She has learned to say 'Nom Noms,' which means some sort of delicious snack. She points to the pantry and says it while she cries. Her demands for snacks are frequent and urgent.
She saw Cassandra painting her toenails the other day and looked intrigued. She painted a toenail, and Olivia kept insisting 'Mo!' (more) until all her finger- and toenails were pink. Then she ran away, pleased as punch with herself.
It was Papa's birthday this month - do you love the card that Olivia helped draw for him? She loves drawing and coloring. Her favorite media is pen, but she also likes crayon and colored pencil.
Running around in the hat and scarf Bob got for speaking at a conference. She thought they were hilarious.
Cuddling with her Daddy and watching tv. Nothing cuter than that!
Olivia starts each morning screaming for her 'Mama' and 'Dada.' We installed speakers in her room, and whenever there, she insists that music be played for her to dance to. She loves cooking in her kitchen and feeding people her creations. She's gotten quite talented with a utensils; eating cereal and milk with a spoon, and spaghetti with a fork. She enjoys the outdoors, even just walking down the driveway to get the mail is an exciting trip. She still loves stuffed animals and books. What a cutie, and nearly 18 months old too!
