Olivia - The Mobilized!

A lot has happened in the last two weeks for Olivia!  First of all, she had her combination blessing with Henry a couple of Sundays ago.  We had a great turnout, with nearly 60 people there to see the kids!

Bob did a great job with the blessing.  He talked about Olivia's great personality and the origins of her special name.  Olivia was really good too, we were worried about her yelling and screaming in the middle, but apart from an attempt at grabbing the microphone, she was great!

Bob's family all made it to celebrate!

Olivia got to cuddle with her Tummy Mommy, Shelli, who showed up for the occasion.

She also enjoyed hanging out with Tummy Daddy, Adam.  Also, she had a super cool water bottle.

We had a photoshoot with the kids in front of the temple in their white outfits to commemorate Olivia's sealing, since the day we did the sealing was a total blizzard!

We don't have all the pictures back yet, but here are a few of the best.  We had a lot of fun, and doesn't Olivia look beautiful?

Another big thing that has happened recently:  Olivia has learned to crawl!  She wiggles her bottom in the most adorable way and crawls forward in a pretty inefficiently.  She loves her newfound ability, and is obsessed with her new favorite toy -- Baby Henry.

Watch her during a photoshoot we had with Henry recently.

Mostly she wants to scratch his head and poke his eyes out, but she has learned the if she gives him 'kisses' (really just open-mouth slobbers) then she gets lots of praise and everyone tells her she's adorable.

Kissing Baby Brother

Olivia likes to kiss everything, looking for praises.  People, dogs, stuffed animals, furniture, electronics, the floor, etc...  Here she is, kissing a stuffed bear.

Before she learned to crawl the conventional way, she was crawling backwards and continually getting stuck under things like couches and tables and chairs.

Extra drooly!

Other things Olivia is loving lately, getting her toes painted like her mom!

Olivia loves books.  She likes it when we read books to her and she likes reading books herself.

She loves going out for lunch dates with Daddy!  She picks him up from work and plays with his iPhone while they wait for food.  Then she eats food off of his plate and has a great time.

She loves sharing her binkie!

The past few days, Olivia has finally had some teeth come in!  They are too small and nubby to get a picture of, and her mouth is too sore to show them off anyway. She has been quite grumpy and even had a fever for a couple of days while they came in, but now she has her two bottom front teeth!   Hopefully we'll get some pictures soon.

Olivia's First Mother's Day

Now that it's getting warm outside and the sun is shining, Olivia has to start protecting herself from the hot sun with that fair skin.  She doesn't mind the sunscreen, but she hates her sun hat.  By the time we're outside she forgets that she has it on, but she throws a fit on the way.

Olivia loves scooting around everywhere.  She still isn't really crawling, but she's moving around on her stomach and on her butt.  She also has started pulling up to her knees, and uses it to grab things that were just out of her reach before.

Olivia loves her Grandma Christa, but she is also very interested in grabbing brother Henry.

Olivia has started giving kisses.  She closes her eyes, opens her mouth and lean forward.  Sometimes if she's feeling spunky, when asked to "give kisses" she blows a raspberry at the kiss recipient.

During a family gathering with Bob's side of the family, Olivia hangs with her Uncle Scott and her cousin Logan.

Olivia is feeding her other cousin, Ira the dog (Aunt Heather's puppy).

Lots of dirty laundry to clean!

On Mother's Day, Bob offered to take care of Olivia.  Cassandra went looking for them, and found them cuddled up and asleep in bed!  How cute looking are they?

For Mother's Day, we all went up to Snowbasin for a Mother's Day brunch buffet, also known as Meat Day.  Olivia enjoyed the juice they sent her, she couldn't be bothered to put down her sippy cup to smile for the camera.
Olivia and Papa

Olivia's favorite part of the day was when Nana shared her cupcake with Olivia.  She had never eaten anything so delicious before!

The Meat Day participants.  We missed Aunt Didi, but we ate meat for her!

Olivia and her friend Cait were born on the same day and enjoyed playing together.  For some reason, Olivia kept trying to sit on Cait's lap.

Olivia still loves eating, though sometimes she'd rather smoosh her chicken and yams around then eat them.  She is also feeding herself baby "puff" cereal.

She still loves her jumper, and gets very into jumping in it.  Her favorite toys right now are books she'll sit on her mom's lap for nearly an hour sometimes as they read books.  She likes reading them herself as well.  She has a set of musical instruments she loves to make noises with, and she likes to 'feed' things to you.  She'll hold out her binkie or a toy and she wants you to pretend to eat it.  It's adorable, and she thinks it's really funny.

Olivia's First Easter

Olivia really enjoyed her first Easter.  She went on an Easter egg hunt around the neighborhood.  There were lots of big kids that she had to outsmart to get her eggs.

Olivia fell in love with this Kit Kat bar and was really quite upset when Bob stole it from her and ate it.

On Easter Sunday, we went up to Logan to have an Easter dinner and another Easter egg hunt at Nana and Papa's house.  Olivia looked beautiful in her pretty dress.  She found lots more eggs than her brother Henry or her uncle Chet.

Olivia did not want to read books with her dad.

Olivia even got to play with one of the chickens!

Olivia is growing so fast.  It's fun to watch her play by herself.  She likes shoving things in her mouth and banging things against each other.  When she sits on carpet or soft blankets she moves her feet back and forth.

She is such a sweet girl and she definitely rules our household.  Whenever she's awake, she plays hard and so she sleeps hard.

Off to bed

Asleep in Cassandra's arms.  The stories we were reading just didn't hold her attention!
Bob went out of town for several days so Cassandra Olivia and Henry went up to Logan to hang out with Nana, Papa, and Uncle Chet.
Olivia snuck into Papa's office and got some work done.

What's wrong with Uncle Chet's face?

The babies love hanging out with Nana!

With the nice weather, we've ventured out on a couple of walks.  Olivia loves watching things roll by and trying to grab her baby brother's hand.

Olivia is an absolute pleasure with her larger than life personality.  She has been getting around by scooting around on her bottom, rolling around, and moving backwards.  She got up on her hands and knees and crawled yesterday!  She was trying to grab Henry in his swing and nearly got him before she was stopped.

She turns eight months today, can you tell how pleased she is about it?
