Olivia's Busy Week

Olivia has had a full week: she attended a shower put on by her Grandmas, had to take care of Cassandra when Bob went on his first business trip since she came home, and met her Aunt Dione for the first time.

The shower was a bigger party than we expected - everyone the Grandmas know showed up to celebrate Olivia.  It was a lot of fun, and Olivia has never been so tired.  She slept all the way home and for a seven hour stretch that night!

Cousin Katie kept Olivia happy at the shower

Bob had to start traveling again for work and spent Monday and Tuesday in Seattle. Grandma Lisa came down to stay with Cassandra and Olivia was on her best behavior.

Practicing defense moves to protect Cassandra and the dogs while Bob was gone.  She loves to make loud noises and throw her hands above her head.
We took Olivia on a "hike" this week.  She's still a little small to be jostled in the Baby Bjorn so Bob just carried her.  The bonus was that Olivia could eat at the same time she sampled the beauty of American Fork Canyon.  Mount Timpanogos is calling for a family hike - maybe next year....

Olivia is growing and developing at an amazing rate.  Not only does she just feel heavier, many of her clothes are beginning to to inexplicably shrink, and she has really become more interactive.  She is smiling and cooing at us when she is feeling extra active (and not just the gas smile).  She can lift up her head and legs at the same time while she is on her stomach and will now track Cassandra with her eyes when she hears her voice .  It is so much fun to watch her grow and develop - she is such a sweet baby!

We continue to have fun sharing new experiences with Olivia.

Grandpa Dean teaching Olivia about football.  She was very into the game.
Although we failed to take any pictures, Olivia's Aunt Dione flew out for the weekend from school in LA.  We had fun at the dog park, and Dione just wanted to hold Olivia all day.  We are looking forward to her one month birthday this week and will be sure to share some pictures.
