Three Months Old!

Yesterday, Olivia turned three months old!  We can't believe how big and cute she's getting.  She loves to coo and squeal at us and has recently been trying out her lungs, surprising herself at how loud she can really be.  She doesn't cry from her crib, we know she's awake by the happy yells coming from her bedroom as she talks to her bird mobile.

We also got together with Olivia's Tummy Mommy this week.  We think Olivia enjoyed seeing her, and it was fun discussing Olivia's various features with her, trying to figure out who she was going to look and act like.

Olivia has also gotten pretty good at sitting in her Bumbo chair, though she has to have the ultimate concentration and usually ends up looking angry in pictures.  She enjoys her new perspective on the world, and likes looking around until she slumps over in exhaustion.

She still enjoys her swing, and she's gotten really good at drooling lately!

We're so excited for the Christmas season, and we think Olivia is too!  She was thrilled to find the Christmas tree up after she woke up from one of her naps.  She spends a lot of time staring at the twinkling lights and shiny ornaments.  If she's fussing, we just walk her over to look at the tree, and that usually calms her right down.

To get her ready for the Christmas season, her Nana came down this weekend and brought her a seasonal present.  Olivia was less excited about the present and more excited about the noise the wrapping made when she touched it.  We think she was actually disappointed when we opened everything and her toy went away!

Seriously, she loved hitting the present and hearing it!

Uncle Chet, whispering to Olivia that he is her favorite uncle...
The present contained a cute Christmas quilt, a lovely outfit for her to wear to her various holiday parties and engagements, and the book 'Olivia Helps With Christmas.'  Uncle Chet couldn't wait to pull the book out and read it to her, and she enjoyed it as well!  She really enjoys being read to, and has started to look at the pictures in books.  If you are looking for a great kid's book this holiday season, we love this one!

Finally, Olivia went to her first of many holiday parties this week.  Her grandparents throw a party called 'Pie Night' for their friends every year and Nana makes tons of homemade pies and everyone gorges themselves!  Of course, Olivia had to go to Logan so that they could show her off, though it seemed rude that she couldn't eat any of the pies.

Cassandra and Nana enjoy Pie Night, while Olivia slept through most of it.

Thanks Nana, this Christmas outfit is great, and will get lots of use this holiday season!

We hope you are all enjoying the holidays as much as we are!
