2011, Meet Olivia

We haven't quite recovered from Christmas yet.  Olivia has stopped her two long naps during the day, instead thinking that 4-5 20 minute naps will work just as well.  It has been a struggle trying to get her to adjust her schedule, but yesterday afternoon she finally took a two-hour nap!  We're very optimistic.

She is getting really interested in playing with things.  She has really started to love her jumper, especially this frog that she will stare intently at before launching into a string of yell words at it.  "Blah Ahh Goo!"  She is very interested in her voice being heard, and has started yelling at the top of her lungs when she's really excited.  We are continually amazed that so much noise could come from such a little girl.

I see you, frog.  You can't fool me!

She's learning to stand in the jumper instead of just letting her feet dangle.

We have had lots of friends and family stop by and visit Liv during the week.  She's very popular, and people want to see her during their vacations!

Classic face: When are you going to stop taking pictures of me and pick me up?

If you note, the whole neck of her shirt is sopping wet with drool.  See the next picture for the reason why!

She has learned to blow bubbles with her spit, and boy is it messy!

If you catch her in the right mood, you can blow a raspberry at her and she will do it back.  We think the whole process is hilarious, and she gets giggling too.  She's so much fun!

Spit up!

This is what Liv looks like after a day of catnapping.

We put Olivia to bed long before midnight on New Year's Eve, but we wanted to ring in the New Year with her in a fun way.  So we put her in her new snow suit and went out into the mountains!

Trying out her new suit in the house beforehand.

It was quite cold outside, but she stayed toasty warm (though Cass had to keep wiping the drool off her face to keep it from freezing).  She had a blast, and kept jabbering and giggling the whole time.  She especially loved seeing the dogs wrestle.

This next week is a big one for Olivia Jocelyn, she turns 4 months old!  She also has a doctor's appointment and more shots. :(

  1. Oh my goodness...I love all the expressions on little Liv's face. She is definitely developing her personality isn't she.
